Note that we arrived only 3 months after Hurricane Wilma, where many hotels were destroyed. Clipper Club had managed to get its garden back in shape, and the solid construction of the buildings had not suffered so much damage as many of the others. We had a large suite with kitchen, which allowed us to at least eat breakfast there to save money. The travel agent arranged 2 great tours for us - to Chichen Itza and Tulum/Xel-Ha (fantastic!), but we were initially bombarded with free lunch to learn about time-shares, which they had a hard time understanding we weren't interested in. Otherwise, what we didn't like is that it is located near several all-night bars with very noisy music. The worst was a bar that apparently opened at 3:30 am with blasting techno-music.

Cancun Clipper was very good, but very annoying to have someone constantly harass you to “get a free breakfast” but a come on to sell time share - to say no once should be enough.
